About the Course

By the end of this course, you will gain a deep understanding of key principles in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and goal-setting strategies. You will be able to explain the six core ACT principles represented by the hexaflex, which promote psychological flexibility. The course will guide you through comparing three essential measures—Capability, Comfort, and Care—helping you assess different aspects of behavior change. You will also learn to differentiate between goals and values, clarifying how they influence behavior. Additionally, you will understand the concepts of superordinate, intermediate, and subordinate goals, and how to structure them effectively. Finally, you will distinguish between learning goals and performance goals, enabling you to set clear, meaningful objectives for personal and professional growth.
